I have had numerous retractable pen reels and BY FAR this pen reel is the absolute BEST! I cannot express enough how infuriating it is when someone takes your pen, on top of the fact that I have always been a germophobe and really HATE people grabbing my pens from right in front of me to use them (I work in a healthcare setting). Now, with COVID-19 on the loose, my retractable pen game has gone from a “work only” thing, to an everyday norm!
Using the pen reel is easy with the carabiner, as it can hook to nearly anything, such as a belt loop, and the built in clip makes it easy to attach to a pocket if you prefer. Writing with a pen attached is also very easy! The retractable cord gives away with just a slight tug to your desired length, and once there, will stay at that length until you slightly tug on the cord again, at which point it retracts back into the holder. The cord is a sturdy material that, after over two years of use, has still not frayed or broken.
I genuinely LOVE this pen reel and appreciate that it holds pens well. Depending on the size of the pen, such as on Dr. Grip pens, it is somewhat of a pain to get on (& nearly impossible to take off). Nevertheless, I’m entirely fine with my pens being permanently attached, as it means I will not lose them readily and can still easily change out the ink with it on! 🙂
